    10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Anna Gottlieb, Executive Director, Cancer Pathways

Formerly Gilda’s Club Seattle – named in honor of Gilda Radner, who, when describing the emotional and social support she received when she had cancer, called for such places of participation, education, hope and friendship to be made available for people with cancer and their families and friends everywhere.

Anna will be the Moderator of our Panel of Hadassah members who are breast cancer survivors.  They will share their very personal stories as they respond to:

  • What do you wish you had known before you were diagnosed and right after?
  • What do you wish your family and friends had known to better support you?

Dr. Mary-Claire King, founder of the BRCA gene, took the time to write back immediately and with incredible modesty that she will be in Israel early March and recommends Dr. Jessica Mandell to represent her, saying she would be the perfect substitute,  She has been the Genetic Counselor for Dr. King’s breast cancer studies for 20 years and is very knowledgeable, writes Dr. King.  We are thrilled to have Dr. Mandell speak to us about Breast Cancer Genetics for Jewish Women.

Jessica Mandell, MS, CGC

The Rivkin Center will also provide us with the latest in risk assessment forms.

This is a not-to-be-missed program.  It has all the elements of UTOPIA: Urgent   TO You   Personal    Insightful   Authentic
